Graphic Design

Good design is more than flashy images, and more than a color scheme. The design you choose is a reflection of the persona of your organization, as well as an essential component of a usable site. My designs are built to reflect your needs and goals while providing for a user-friendly experience.

Client-Side Programming

You have two options if you want interactive Web pages. The first is JavaScript, and the second is Flash. Each has benefits, and each comes with costs in terms of making your site dependent upon specific browser technology. I can help you choose the technology that is right for the effect you need, and can implement that technology for full interactivity.

Server-Side Programming

The backbone of all data-driven sites is a well-programmed server applicaiton. These server technologies allow you to process form submissions, send email, connect with databases, and read from and write to files. There are several options available: ASP, ColdFusion, and CGI/Perl are just the most common. Which is the best choice for your application will depend on your server and your needs. I have several years of programming expertise in all three technologies, and can ensure that your applications run quickly and reliably.

XML-Family Language Development

XML provides unprecedented capabilities for describing data that is self-sufficient, portable, and lightweight. Whether you have data that you need to communicate between systems, applications, or organizations, an integrated architecture of XML (to hold the data), XSL (to parse the data), and XSD (to describe the rules for the data) can give you limitless flexibility and extensibility. Information Architecture Consulting

A site is only as successful as it is usable. If your information is accessible and presented logically, your users will return. If not, they will turn elsewhere. You make a site usable through consistent design, intuitive navigation, and a well thought out system for locating the information your pages hold. As the Curriculum Director of WestLake Internet Training, the country's premier Web development training provider, I wrote 15 courses on topics such as HTML, JavaScript, Writing for the Web, ASP, ColdFusion, and XML. I worked for over two years as a Senior Internet Trainer and Training Manager for WestLake Internet Training, training classes, organizations, and businesses on technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, DHTML, XML, ColdFusion, ASP, and Perl.
